Intertek Reveals New Automotive Certification in UK. Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab in the United States, revealed its new automotive certification standard. In October 2016, the previous automotive standard in the UK was replaced by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949:2016. In order to keep up with the rapidly changing industry, Intertek created a new set of standards for vehicles sold in the UK. Intertek has already certified this set of standards and they will be testing vehicles to this standard, until a new standard is adopted.
